Arttaysia, LLC is looking to hire up to 4 individuals to help run its booth during this 2022 summer faire season.

Position Applying for (all positions $10 an hour):

Running the Booth Morning Shift (8:30 am - 2:30pm) 
Running the Booth Evening Shift (2:30pm - 8:30pm) 
Monday or Friday Setup Help Only 

Job Description: We are looking for individuals to assume a sales role and help the artist run their booth throughout the summer 2022 season at Bristol Renaissance Faire. This will include conversing with the general public, wrapping artwork, handling money, answering art related questions, dressing in costume, etc. This might also include standing away from the booth and hawking our wares from afar. 

With all positions one might be asked in on a Monday or Friday with reasonable notice for shop Set Ups and Take Downs. This will be constructing and deconstructing our shop set up as it could be subject to move around within the venue at our organizer’s discretion. 

Paychecks will be given weekly either via check or cash handed over in person (or mailed by request). 

Job Requirements:

  • Patient and Warm Demeanor with the public.

  • Must be comfortable working independently

  • Lift more than 50lbs

  • Able to handle outdoor summer heat, no AC. (sometimes 90*F and above in period garb)

  • Comfortable on Their Feet All Day

  • Must wear specifically themed clothing. (See Perks)

  • No consumption of alcohol or recreational drugs while on duty. 

  • No photography/video shared on social media while on duty


Not Required but Would be Nice or will learn on the job:

  • Knowledge about Ceramic and Printmaking art Processes

  • Sales Experience, Retail Customer Service Experience

  • Minimal Elizabethan Acting

Perks:

  • Arttaysia, LLC will provide a $60 credit towards a work uniform. 

    • Before purchase it must be approved by Arttaysia, LLC. Must show receipt for reimbursement. Will Get to keep this outfit after the season ends. 

    • Costume specifics and details will be sent upon hire.

  • We will have a cooler on site. Feel free to bring food for your shift. 

  • Water bottles will be provided to staff. 

  • 1 hour unpaid break to eat lunch and enjoy a bit of the fair

  • Free season pass. Invite your friends for $15 a ticket. Limitless. 

  • Will be issued one vehicle pass for Bristol employee parking.

Timeline: 

  • Please apply no later than: Sunday, May 29th, 2022

  • Will be contacted to schedule an interview after applying.

  • Notification of Employment: Tuesday, June 14th, 2022 at the Latest

  • Individual will be sent a W-9 to return back to Arttaysia, LLC

  • Individual will be responsible for paying state tax withholdings. (if they make $600 or more from Arttaysia, LLC within a year)

    • Considered an independent contractor. 1099 Form will be provided for tax purposes. 

  • Deadline to have costume in hand: Friday, July 1st, 2022 

  • Training/Start Day: July 8th, 9th, or 10th.
